Card Information
This was the first Callcard to use the agreed smart card public telephone system in Ireland. During the installation of the cardphones throughout Ireland in 1990, 2,000 of these Callcards were issued in a lovely brochure of Telecom Eireann related information for an I.M.I. Conference. The Schlumberger Cardphones used throughout Ireland were available in the hotel where the conference was being held. There are two variations of this card, with both SI4 and SI5 chips. The Callcard features the work of Irelands top calligrapher David McGrail.
