This Callcard was issued as part of Telecom Eireann's commitment to bringing the internet closer to schools, accompanying a large advertising campaign. It was issued free to some customers of Telecom Eireann with an accompanying letter from Mr. Alfie Kane of Telecom Eireann informing customers that "in today's information age, communications is becoming more and more important in all our lives". This Callcard was never wrapped.
