Card Information
This Callcard was issued to celebrate Telecom Eireann's Strategic Alliance with KPN & Telia. The card was also available in a presentation cardboard sleeve.
Dutch company KPN owned 21 percent of Telecom Eireann/Eircom (eir) and Swedish company Telia owned 14 percent.
The two companies bought their stakes in what was then called Telecom Eireann, in December 1996 when the Irish government was seeking strategic partners.
At the time, their joined 35% share of Telecom Eireann was believed to be worth about €3.17 billion euros.
