ESOP Callcard (1232)

This Callcard was introduced to mark the launch of the Employees Share Ownership Plan (ESOP) Trustee. ESOP was responsible for managing the interests of Telecom Eireann employees before and during the organizations' public flotation. At the time, employees were given the opportunity to purchase shareholding of 14.9 per cent in the company which was then transferred to an employee share ownership trust. A small number of the Callcard came in a presentation sleeve. In addition, a glass presentation block (image below) was produced, with the ESOP Callcard sealed inside (unknown quantity). At present, we cannot confirmed who(m) would have received this, whether it was Telecom Eireann staff who were involved in setup of ESOP or trustees (those managing the assets in the trust).
